🏈 Is Alabama's no. 1 rated 2019 class the kind of group that will help them catch back up to Clemson?

Thank you for responding. My gosh. Like some have said, glad to see someone else is forced to wear the crown for once, but the beating our team has taken as if Clemson has dominated us for ten years is beyond crazy.

I could care a little less. While it was the title of the article that caught my eye, I wanted to hear his reasoning. It's my opinion that's where he falls short.

How many people are going to put Lawrence over Tua? The numbers don't support those that do.
How many people are going to put Ross over Jeudy? The numbers don't support those that do
If you want to put Simmons and Moses on an equal plane, the numbers do support that claim.

If we step back and take the loss to Clemson as them surpassing Bama how do we judge the season prior to last? Wouldn't Clemson's win last season be them catching up to Bama considering they were handled, easily, in '17?

I think one thing that is being overlooked is the easy ride Clemson has during the regular season. The ACC and PAC12 are arguable the worst two conferences in college football. When you breeze thru a schedule playing teams like WF, NC, Duke and VA and don't have to play physical teams like LSU, GA, FL etc. it makes a big difference you don't get beat up both physically and mentally.

I laughed at title....
Ridiculous....
Clemson is having great run....Bama hasbeen on the run...
I do have respect for whatDabo is doing...pretty dang good...beat bama twice for NC....great QB....andthose Dlinemen coming back for Clemson.....great....
Veryweak ACC as @#80 pointed out...should make a clean run...big numbers for Lawerence...as big as Dabo wants.....and he wants a Heisman... Tua wont do much playing. in 4th quarters...again..
Again Bama rebuilds D and coaching staff..@Texas AnM, Lsu, At AU ...probably UGA again...at Atlanta... tough road....
Clemson is a force for future...they arent done winning,...

We do need a couple Frosh to step up though... One on the DL would be nice. At RB as well.

Sporting outcomes have a whole lot to do with motivation. I know CNS hates losing but it's a heck of a lot easier to motivate this season than the last. Certainly less off the field issues and hopefully a handful of juniors hungry as shit to be first rounders.

Lots of motivation and talent coming back. RTR

Their roster top to bottom does not rival ours, no ones does. Lawrence was not as great as everyone is lauding him, because when he was actually pressured, he was not that great, and that's why I actually thought we would find our way back into the game after the first half. Like you said, they do not have any personnel that is superior to ours. Maybe level with some positions, but no one that is actually superior.

Nonsense is what you get when you make comparisons and then try to include the best program in college football the last decade in it. What Bama has to do is get back to old defensive principles. Not ancient history, just a few years ago when we were bringing the heat from everywhere, but particularly from our edge rushers. It's really hard to see us not being a quick scoring team once again. Even with more devotion to the running game with Sark. Tua and our receivers are too good to make this team look like a McElwain type offense.

So, get our NOTs (non-offensive TDs) going again on D and lord, please, Jeff Banks, figure out how to turn Waddle loose on punt returns, turn the pass rush and blitz package up to do a better job of getting teams off the field and let's go get what's ours.

The only thing Nick Saban and staff are working on is Alabama because that is all that matters. Anything else is clutter. We played...We lost.

Eliminate the clutter and all of the things that are going on outside and focus on the things that you can control with how you go about and take care of your business. Take the other team out of the game and make it all about you and what you do...…...Nick Saban
