If you didn't know, in the 2009 media guide he's listed at 354—still HUGE.

But, it's a wild thought to remember he's been in our S&C program for about a year now and he's a year from a playing weight of over 400lbs.

It's this kind of work that will practically guarantee him a first day selection next April.

Terry,
So much has been focused on this efforts t olose weight. Is there any word on other aspects of his S&C work? I recall last year hearing the tales of how he never failed to meet any of the timed running goal. Is he still showing up in good enough cardio shape to support his efforts to be an every down player and lumber sideline-to-sideline?

One of the coaches working the camp made a few comments about the conditioning drills.

A few of the kids struggling, then the vets still carrying their weight and then some. Cody was one of those he referred to when he was talking about guys making it through the conditioning drills and still having "gas left."

Just as example, the running drills are pretty much the same as last summer—end zone to end zone, timed, and they are doing a mile plus in distance sprinting with a few breaks to catch their wind.

 thats over 17 sprints from end zone to end zone, how does this compare to what Shula had them doing in s&c?

Also, I know this has been discussed before, but I still find it amazing how healthy our players stay, relatively speaking. You see teams like UT taking on injuries almost on a weekly basis, does this reflect on them having a poor s&c program or just bad luck?

I realize that having Cody lose a little weight is only going to help him with his agility and endurance, not to mention being able to play more downs, but should we be concerned at all that he may lose some of his dominance if he gets too light and some of the bigger OL can push him around? I'm sure he's still strong as a herd of oxen, but this is still a minor concern of mine.

Thanks!
