. . . of what the 'Hay U' thought of our game against Clemson and I want to dissect this comment:

First of all, Clemson had just as long to prepare for us as we had for them--no excuses!!!

Coach Saban said that we were running the same offense we ran last year so Clemson had plenty of film to observe that.

No new offense.

The hiring of Coach J-Mac didn't have as much to do with what he did in terms of scheme at Fresno State. He was hired mainly to help JPW improve.

Teams can't watch the film of this past Saturday's game and get a good feel of what we will do, b/c the whole playbook hasn't been revealed yet.

Like Hay U claimed they did, we stuck to what was working and the running game was so effective, there was no need to open up the playbook.

The way I see it, our OC makes a plan game-by-game based on the opponent. He studies how to expose their weaknesses and that changes from week-to-week.

I have this feeling that opposing defenses will have a hard time figuring out what we will do, b/c of our ability to play various styles at the drop of a dime.

If you load up on the run, the deep pass will kill you.

If you play soft, the underneath stuff will rip you.

If you play man-to-man, the mismatches will hurt you.

My point is that preparation will go far beyond watching a little game film of the last game, but it will take hours and hours of practicing when to make  adjustments at any moment throughout the game.
