🏈 I need 5 tickets together for the citadel game.

Aight, proper grammar.

I need five tickets together for the game against The Citadel.

(No need to post this anywhere else than here...)

@rick4bama,

Long story short.

You remember several years ago when the players had their own videos in pregame lineups? You'll remember that's when we really started hearing the phrase, "THE Ohio State University."

I know what they're driving at...it's some in state thing with Ohio University. It's as if we can't tell the difference between "I'm from Ohio University" versus "State" or we don't know who we're watching on TV. I thought the whole thing was stupid from day one.

Speaking of the word "the..."

It's The Citadel. If you ask someone from The Citadel where they went to school, they'll tell you, "The Citadel." It's more of a part of the name than the word "the" is in The University of Alabama.

On one hand you have players demanding some respect. On the other hand, you have a school that demands the respect. A play on words, yes. The Citadel is deserving of the phrase "demands respect" on their academics alone.

You know something! That is one thing I should have remembered. While I was in the Army I had a Major I work with, and I knew he got his commission from The Citadel. The football team almost beat Clemson, now this was back in the '80's. I told him that his team Citadel almost beat Clemson. He told me right then, it's The Citadel, not Citadel.

I knew exactly what you were getting at here. Living in Charleston you learn a lot about The Citadel. Their cadets and alumni take it very seriously, compared to the cocky Ohio State fans that try and use it as some kind of title that they are superior to everyone.

What exactly does this THE suppose to mean? In that, we're discussing it.

All I can figure is ...
It's as if we can't tell the difference between "I'm from Ohio University" versus "State" or we don't know who we're watching on TV.

@BamaFan334, It's a little ironic ... look around the e-tour of Ohio University ... a lot of their building look like ones found on and around The Citadel.

Little known fact: They have one of the best garage sales that can be found. The cadets leave EVERYTHING behind when they graduate except their car and the clothes on their backs. And then they leave some of their clothes.

I did not know that. I bet you can find some nice stuff.

Did y'all see that sign a couple weeks ago on Gameday? "An Ohio State University" cracky my wife and me up.
