MARK FREAKING BARRON!!!!!

sure the int's were great, and the tackles, big hits, ..BUT when he jumped up in the air and laid back on his back to tip that ball in the endzone i choked on my beer.. how does someone do that? it was like an olympic pole vault..

which time frame did barron do that? i watched the whole video, with both of his INTs , and the one by johnson, and didnt see what you are referring to

woodall? johnson got it. and i agree with you that he woulda had 3, i was like man he shoulda let barron grab that one too, but johnson deserved it more. also, coulda risked a TD too.

i rewatched the end of the game a bit ago, and saw where barron layed out to tip the pass...even the announcers commented on it and replayed it. i recorded it with my phone too, it was amazing. the play happened with about 7:08 time left in the 4th quarter

I said during our off week that Barron has probably been our best cover guy ths year, because he was a real ballhawk, and was leading the SEC in pass deflections and interceptions at the time.

But people doubted me ;)

Here it comes Joe. :nana:

I don't think he's the best cover guy because of the position he plays. He's not in man coverage that often. But, playing safety he's got a great nose for the ball.

It is interesting to me that teams have chosen to pick on Marquis. Since that game in 2007 against Florida State—without a doubt the worst game of his career—he's improved steadily from game to game to game.

What is the untold story with people picking Ma. is you don't see them going after Kareem or Javy that often. Think about it. When's the last time you heard a team trying to attack Kareem's side? To the best of my recollection it was Arkansas. And, it was...well, FAIL.

His first interception of th game shows this point best in that he was ten yards behind everyone, playing "center field", and was in position to scoop up a pass that had sailed put of reach of teh MSU receieves and the DB in their hip pocket.

To put this more clearly than I did before as to cover corners.

Surfin' around this morning I came across this note.

If you want to call it throwing in Javy's direction? One pass went his direction and that was a pass to Dixon out of the backfield. Otherwise, they didn't go after him at all.

Zero. The number of times they attacked Kareem's side of the field.
