🏈 How do you guys view the Bama-Florida rivalry?

To me it's more of a friendly rivalry. I have no hatred for UF at all. I even grew up in Florida, but ended up loving Bama because I followed in my dads footsteps. Also, my two little brothers are big Florida fans so that also has something to do with it.

Can't wait for the Florida-Tennessee game though. 1 of the best rivalries in the country! I'm really hoping Florida whoops that Tennessee a** too. I live right in the heart of Vol country. I always love to see these fools lose! Their fans are the most ignorant sore losers I have ever come across.

Anyway, just wondering yall's opinion. Hope it don't seem weird I root for Florida occasionally.

I think its a good rivalry when both teams are at their best. There was a strong hatred between both fan bases in 08-'10 but it has died down due to Florida underwhelming, but overall I respect them.

Hate them in basketball though :swear:

They are just like Florida State, their fan's memories only go back to the mid 80's and 90's. When Spurrier was there, it was a bit of a rival and again with Urban, but I don't think it was ever as big as say Tennessee.

I usually pull for them to win against anyone else but especially against the Viles and awbarn. Not so much a rivalry as others in the conference, imo.

They are very arrogant!! When I was at the SECC in 08 they were not the kind of SEC fans who invite you to their tail gate for food and good conversation. At least the many I ran across in ATL and BDS in the Prothro game. Totally rude people and then leaving the dome after we got Tebow'd was just unbearable to be around them.

I was at a neighborhood Christmas party in '08, and one of those fans (whom I'd never discussed football with at all) took it upon himself to convince me he personified my view of their fan base. I recognized it pretty quickly, but he decided to go on and on about it. His silence since then has been quite satisfying.

They have been and can be a great rivalry for us through the years, but for now they've been processed.

Since we don't play them every year I don't view this as a rivalry. We see them every few years in the regular season, occasionally in the SEC CG. I don't hold any animosity towards them. As far as SEC East teams (other than UT) I dislike UGA a lot more. That is probably due to being around more UGA fans.

They sucked, then they won, now they're mediocre. Bama's never sucked, but we've had our marginal seasons, for sure. I can definitely recall FL being 'unbeatable' for most teams in the SEC. Now, not so much.

Ole Ball Coach knows what he's doing. And that's why I hated them so bad when he was there. He loved to run up the score on folks.

Florida ranks below LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina and even Miss State on my list now...

I definitely rank the Gators as more of a rival than South Carolina and Mississippi State.

Only time that you could actually view this as a rivalry was during Spurrier's time there in Gainsville.
