After early season competition which saw two Tide distance runners run in the low 28's for 10,000 meters, Alabama finds itself ranked fourth nationally in men's track. It is the highest the school has ever been ranked.

Chalenga ran 28:04, the fast 10k time ever for Alabama. Kosgei ran 28:35.

Come context here. King Chez won the title for Oregon in that event last season, running 29:01. Big difference in the strategy of that race, I know, but 28:04 is absolutely killing it. The collegiate record was set by Liberty's Chalenga. I wonder if there's any relation?
