Florida, the years under Zook, had a #1 class. See last year.
LSU, highly ranked classes under Saban, see the last two years.
Texas, often called the Recruiting NC, see two years ago.
USC, highly ranked classes the last 5-6 years. Likewise, see the results.
It's hard to judge how good a class is going to be if they are say...ranked 12 and below. But, if it is a top 10 class that has a decent coaching staff on the sidelines, the results are very evident. WVU is a great example of that.
A good recruiter doesn't translate to a good coach; and vice-versa. A good recruiter, a good coach, but a bad coordinator can cause problems as well. See FSU under Jeff Bowden.
