I agree OP, I am, already, tired of hearing how good Jalen is, or Joe Burrow and don’t even mention Trevor, mr. 2 touchdown passes vs 3 interceptions. It’s way to early in the season to crown any one player or team.

Gotta hype up anything you can for later. Since Bama and Oklahoma played last year, Hurts switched sides in the meantime, and both are thought to be favorites to make it back, it only makes sense that they would start trying to hype stuff early.

That's OK coach was going to help him with that because he will just have one here? This isn't per saying, but it's how I remember it! Does anyone remember this being said? At the time I heard this I was thinking! Well, that was kind of dumb to say?

i firmly believe that a lot of the voter simple don't look at the numbers....just name (and not necessarily that of the player).

It's hype man, this always happens but when you have a kid like Jalen - good kid with an awesome story - lighting it up its pretty much a given the hype train is going to get behind him. Good for him and I'll pull for him every week, unless... well, you know.

This is his last year of eligibility left, so yeah, dumb.

I think that even if Jalen keeps this up all season he will not win it, because the voters won’t give it to the same school with same transfer QB situation three years running. I wish him well but wish us better!

Tua woulda won last year had he played equal minutes as Kyler.

Hurts will have some stats this year for invite and should get consideration. It’ll be well deserved.

I think he improved a lot over the year he stayed at Bama and gets to showcase that now against weak defenses. Tua is still a better QB and as much as I love me some JH... I’d rather have Tua.

At the rate Jalen is going through 3 games, I could see him winning it. Sad thing is this will turn into Alabama vs Oklahoma instead Jalen's growth.

Then again, I thought Tua was gonna win it last year.

Well. Admittedly noone has played anybody yet. Murrey won it last year when they played TX in CCG and Tua lost it vs UGA with injury
This year will be same. In November how will Tua play Vs lsu, AU, UGA/FLORIDA
Or JH vs end of schedule and CCG
Based on last year sept and oct games only mean " you are on the clock in nov"
Along with 1-2 others ... certainly the Clemson QB( maybe the Clemson RB) , Wisconsin RB, and Ohio State QB...the field is starting to take shape....
May come down to who is best of these few on the best team ......!!!!!!!!!

It's a long season anything can happen injury wise. Barring injury at the pace Hurts is currently on stats wise he will be invited. Just look at the teams left on OU's schedule they have zero defense. Where the Heisman most likely is won and lost are the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places votes. Voter bias could be the killer.
