First of all, I'm gald we got Dee Hart. I've got a feeling this guy is going to be another Palmer/Prothro - maybe even better. I think he is going to surprise alot of people.

I was upset about Calloway, but having read all of the other posts, I think Calloway, himself, was right in his assessment that he is just a better fit at AU. Rather, he is NOT a fit at UA and best to find that out now. It just seems to me that he's a guy that sought the easy path. There's no question that at UA, there is stiff competition at most positions. But those that come know that it is that competition that will ultimately allow each of them to achieve their greatest levels.

Ciao Calloway. See you next November.

Dee Hart has said he wants to come in and compete for a spot and he would rather not take a redshirt year. However, it would probably be wise for him to do so. At best, he woukd most likely be behind Eddie Lacy as a thirdstringer and hed only see the field in mop-up duty, It would be wise to start his college career after a year in the system, and compete with corey grant for a backup role vbehind lacy(i think TR is gone after the season, not much thought involved. i believe he is a father already)

But he will be playing for us alot at somepoint, better to show up at his best so that he leaves an impression

How is Corey Grant doing anyway?

I don't know about that. Dee is a completely different kind of back. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him getting significant action early. He represents something we don't really have right now a smaller swing back/scat back. It will give McElwain a chance to be more creative getting the ball in the hands of play makers. He can also play in the slot and return kicks. I think this is a great pick-up for us.

corey grant is that type of back and just took a red shirt. i think he won the state 100m twice. coming out of opelika high he was about 5'10" and 185lbs. he may be bigger now?
