It reads:
"Dear Cade (#43), Life has its setbacks. I know! However you will be a stronger human with time. I wish you all the best- Sincerely- another 43 George Bush"
The fellow Texan is known for his love of sports and he certainly made Foster's day.
"Framing this," he wrote on the Instagram caption.

I saw President Bush speak in Boston last year in front of a mixed group but still heavily Democrat. Everyone left with a very good impression of the man, even some of the one's that I knew where skeptical of him. In a personal setting he is captivating and quite engaging.

Politics aside, it was a very nice gesture from President Bush. I'm glad he watches Alabama football.

We were talking a little about ratings the other day (forgot what I was going to look at now that I think about it, SECCG rating?) and that game grabbed a lot for CBS. Did you see the B-ham ratings on the game? It's was over 90% of the households that had a TV on had it on the game.

Numbers.

BTW, ran across numbers about the SEC footprint and North Carolina and Virginia I'll share soon. Puts a few teams and additions to the SEC in perspective.

Not to get political, but I've always been a fan of George W other than certain things (Iraq war and defense of marriage act) and have always thought of him as a decent human.

I met met him one time in Midland, Texas when I was there for business.

I know now this with W's faults he's WAY better than the guy who's occupying the White House now.

The Birmingham numbers are amazing! I saw where the AU/MIZ broadcast tied the BAMA/aTm game and was down 12% versus the SEC Championship for last year overall.

Cade Foster and Bush 43 are both from Texas. Both have the number 43 associated with them.

That's where the similarities end.

Cade was a great athlete who not only kicked but tackled like a linebacker. He was a solid, responsible young man.

Cade choked one game and was a big part of losing to his biggest rival and a shot at the title for which he showed great remorse for his mistakes. His teammates and fans stood solidly behind him for the most part though they were disappointed by the outcome of the game and the loss of a title shot.
