yet fans remained bitter to see a favored son at a hated rival.

Hated rival? Really? Funny, until this year, I wouldn't even have considered LSU a major rival. Same conference. Always a tough game, but "hated"? What am I missing? To any of the LSU posters, before this season, did you consider Alabama a "hated" rival? If so why?

Yes isn't it just so ironic that I haven't heard of LSU considering us to be a rival until after the fact Saban came here   .

I don't know about you guys but I could care less if we were rivals with oh, say Texas A&M, just because of Fran  . Seems like a weak attempt to hide being envious/jealous.

If they are just mad because of the way he left, well, then why aren't they questioning their own coach, as he did the same ? But that would involve a logical thought process, one of which I've never seen of a LSU fan of today. So if they deny their own coach doing the same yet feel bitter because Saban left them, what does that tell you? Refer to above about being envious/jealous

There was a good analogy posted here the other day about all this fuss with Saban and LSU fans. Had to do with something about a ex-girlfriend leaving a guy for another person in another state, it didn't work out so she moved back to her area and dating a known acquintance of the first guy (or something along those lines). First guy is pissed because deep down he still wants her back. Great analogy

No, before this year Alabama was not a "hated" rival. Its been played up alot this year, but I expect it to die back down after this game. Its usually a good game but is not a rivalry type game.

Oh and middle of the SEC West? I don't even remember where that is located. I tried to mapquest but it led me to Tuscaloosa, AL.

Considering we're #2 in the west at the moment, I think you mistook T-Town as the Barn .

No worries though, I'll help you out, we have the Capstone, and 12 national championships. The Barn has well, Sociology?. :D

I agree that i wouldn't consider bama a hated rival. There is more bad blood in the lsu-auburn games and more tradition in the lsu-ole miss games. I know y'all have Tennessee and Auburn.

nope and still don't. They will take their rightful place in the middle of the SEC West soon enough. Uh Les?

The thing you guys forget is that we are still pulling in great recruiting classes under Les. Last year we ended up with the #4 recruiting class. This year is the biggest down year in LA for a long time but next year will be the most for a long time.

This LSU program isnt going anywhere

Am I the only one that thought this was funny?

I was wondering where the hated rivalry thing came from. I actually talk to a LSU fan a good bit. We were talking and he was like, I like Alabama. He admitted he hated the fact we got Saban. Too bad others can't move on.

I still consider the Bama/Barn game one of the most important. :?
