A veteran Alabama forward is set to leave the program.

Galin Smith went into the transfer portal Wednesday as a graduate transfer, AL.com has learned.

Smith started 19 games for the Crimson Tide over the last three seasons, including seven as a junior last year.

Smith finished last season with averages of 12.9 minutes, 3.1 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.

This does not surprise me G. Smith is not a good fit for CNO system. I wish him success and thanks for his time spent in T-town. I think it's awesome he got his degree.

I agree with @#80 . Smith didn't really fit in to Oats system. Square peg, round hole. Good luck and congrats to the young man on receiving his degree. Hopefully, he will find a place that is a good fit for him.
