Which is fitting in the sense they intended; Stoops taking his team to its 9th BCS bowl in 15 years.

What strikes me as consistent is the point that OU, under Stoops, has a 6-6 record in bowl games since the start of the BCS in 1998.

I'd call that consistent, eh?

The BCS games themselves haven’t always been kind to Stoops, who holds a 3-5 record in those games. He also has lost his past three national title trips, including the 2003 Sugar Bowl to Saban’s LSU Tigers.

In fact, of coaches with more than three BCS bowl appearances, Stoops joins Bobby Bowden (1-5), Frank Beamer (1-4) and Lloyd Carr (1-3) as the only ones with losing records.

Easy to see why they have earned the name "Chokelohoma" Seriously.........3-5 and his considered consistent?

The real bonafide reason why Stoops has gotten OU into so many BCS Bowls as the Big 12 Champion usually, is because of his W-L record against our Mr. 2nd place, Mack Brown. However, the tide is going to turn on Stoops starting next year.
