Four SEC schools contacting Mizzou about football seniors

Coaches from at least four Southeastern Conference football teams have contacted some Missouri seniors about their interest in transferring in the wake of NCAA sanctions against the Tigers' football program,

Auburn, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas A&M have inquired about Mizzou seniors who could be eligible for NCAA waivers to play at another school immediately without having to sit out a year.

Probably 6 more months to let the appeal process run its course. Unfortunately, by then a lot more permanent damage could be done. But as you mentioned, Mizzou has already clearly admitted guilt and sanctions of some sort are coming. All they have to offset the punishment is their level of cooperation with the NCAA. They hired a lawyer with experience working for the NCAA. Seems the lesson is to get your lawyer first and keep your mouth shut.
