📝 Florida running back commits to Alabama

He committed to Alabama Sunday afternoon.

Alabama added a second running back commit to its 2018 recruiting class on Sunday.

Three-star all-purpose running back Jerome Ford committed to the Crimson Tide.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Florida product is the 14th-best all-purpose back in next year's recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

This is commitment No. 2 for the Tide this weekend after landing four-star cornerback Josh Jobe on Saturday. It's commitment No. 16 overall for Alabama's 2018 recruiting class.

Three-star Louisiana product Slade Bolden was previously the Tide's only 2018 running back commit.

Never really saw him in our ball park in terms of all around talent but he is fast as shit. Maybe the staff see's him as a Jacobs type... But with the other little guy from Louisiana in the class, I'm surprised they didn't find another big back for the class.

Should leave some recruiting leeway for next year's class to bring in a Najee Harris type of dude.

I was a little skeptical on Ford until a saw his film. The kid can definitely catch, has great vision and is extremely fast. Definitely has the potential to be a Drake type contributor for BAMA. As far as having leeway for next year, several sites have our 2019 RB commit as the #1 rated RB in the nation. But, we definitely need DL in next year's class. Hopefully, we can land Coach Bryant's great Grandson. The kid is legit!
