Happy Independence Day to all. Everyone has a different view of just what independence is, and how free we actually are, but I’m grateful to live in this country, and I’m grateful for the intellect and sacrifices of those who envisioned, formed and defended this great land.

About 32 years ago, I had an old coworker give me this advice. If you’re gonna drink a fifth on the Fourth, you better buy it on the third.

Can't shake my head hard enough... Crazy how people think these days. Hey I know Trump said and did some stupid things but in one debate he talked about how in our schools we are teaching our kids to hate America. Seems about right in many areas of the country.

It's incredibly sad and disturbing, I'll admit; however, Solomon - or perhaps Hezekiah - said it well in Ecclesiastes 1:9 -

"What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun."
