You may disagree, but if I'm them, I'd rather have Sumrall all day long, and they had him wrapped up if they wouldn't have acted all "auburn" with him and tried to "suggest" conditions. Golesh may do well there, but IMO, there's a much greater chance he has them mediocre, mid-league in the SEC. ANd people talk about "fit"... I think that can be overrated some, but this, like Harsin was, is a bit of a weird one. He's going to have to navigate things outside the field that he's never dealt with before, and if he does it his own way, his margin of error shrinks significantly.
But, it's certainly better than promoting Durkin. Or hiring someone like Charles Kelly.
