Continuing with the ongoing series covering the 2008 season in the SEC, the RollTideBama.com Writing Staff put together a look back at the SEC Western Division.

Depending on which prognostication you read, the predicted order of finish in the West fell along these lines:

1) Auburn
2) LSU
3) Alabama
4) Ole Miss
5) Mississippi State
6) Arkansas

Some felt that LSU would win the West and Auburn would end up finishing second. Some also felt Mississippi State would end up last in the conference and Arkansas would come in fifth place.

A good majority felt that Alabama and Ole Miss would fill the middle of the pack in the West.

Very few considered the possibility that the West would finish with:

1) Alabama
2) Ole Miss
3) LSU
4) Arkansas
5) Auburn
6) Mississippi State.

Now that the season is over, here are the final grades.
