šŸˆ Dylan Moses Played Hurt Nearly the Whole Season

Wait, you mean the guy everyone said forgot how to play football all of a sudden and just sucked. He had a torn meniscus too?

don't know that everyone was down on him. But he sure didnt play like the All American DM everyone thought he would be.
But i find it strange ghat a torn meniscus was never ever mentioned.
@OldPlayer is this possible that he played and played ok and had as serious injury and it was never mentioned ? Never? Not by coaches. Trainers. Players himself And a player with a serious injury playing just ok was better than " next man up " at bama? ( i know he was responsible for getting D lined up)

One of my Top 5 favorite recruits ever. Would have been a starting tailback as well if he wanted to. Started playing linebacker Junior year of high school I believe and solely focused on it after being a top running back recruit since 8th grade. So glad we pulled him from LSU's backyard, and he was a good player for us and a great ambassador to the program. Not easy living up to the hype thrown at him since middle school, but I'd say he did a much better job than most when realizing that hype. I wish the best for him moving into the NFL.

Anything is possible. There are different degrees of meniscus tears. He said he thought it was a bone bruise (which is possible to play through). Either way, it had to be very uncomfortable for him and I guarantee it took a step off his speed. I don't know when the tear was diagnosed (during the season or after the season). I think part of the announcement is his getting ready for the draft and letting teams know what may have slowed him down in 2020.

For clarity Dylan said that he kept the fact he was in pain to himself because he ā€œdidn’t want to leave the fieldā€

Said it started during game against OM and that was when they thought it was just a bone bruise and he never told anyone that it was getting worse/still hurting as the year went on

Dude led the team in tackles

Dude was responsible for lining up the defense against some crazy offensive firepower

Dude helped win a NC for The University of Alabama

Dude never complained

Dude had a torn meniscus

I want to hire him to kick my ass when I need motivation

When you hear stories like this, it would be easy to see why NFL GM's are wary of the health of Alabama players coming into the draft.

I think everyone could see Dylan was playing through pain... But an injury... That's something that should have been addressed. Not to say it wasn't... But if not "not telling anyone" is enough to get the training staff off his trail, despite what we all could see, that would be questionable.

Remember there’s always a BUTT

Lets see if Nick holds his tongue on this. We're talking big money so trying to clarify why production wasn't great might help some. I am not sure the U of A trainer/doctors will weigh in.

I think he’ll be frank with the NFL reps and confirm Moses’ story. He told the story more than once during the season of players who might be lacking in some respect, but they make the players around them - and the defense as a whole - better. That epitomizes Moses’ contributions this year, just a warrior who knew he was needed, and he delivered. I so hope he has a successful professional career.

It’s just an ear...

Really, it depends on his pain tolerance and what he can handle. I tore my meniscus around 15 years ago and it hurt like a sumbitch!! I was also 35 and about 35lbs overweight too. Like @OldPlayer said, different levels/degrees of tears, but he is a pretty damn good conditioned athlete.
