šŸˆ Don't be surprised if Alabama and LSU stage another BCS rematch

Taking a moment to consider this assertion, that being that Bama and LSU could meet in the title game again, my impression is that it would not.

After the whining a moaning that aired last season about a non-division winner getting a shot at the title, I thing that the influencing powers that be would keep this from happening if at all possible.

What do you think? Is there a realistic chance that this would be allowed to happen?

If the conferenced champions model is used, then NO WAY it happens. If we use the 4 best model, then there is an excellent chance!

Neither are in play at least until 2014. The question is could it happen this year. I think the College Football world would lose its mind not having a non-SEC team in the BCS NCG for the second straight year.

Sure it's possible.

It wasn't something that just "happened" last season. You don't see a lot of people talk about the fact that LSU and Bama were in the #1 and #2 position in week 13 last year. Even Miles has said recently the BCS is designed to put the two best teams together for the NC game and it did. We knew it was coming several weeks before the conference championship games were played.

Realize, the only reason OSU was 2nd in the computers was a win over a top 25 team in their CCG and then it wasn't enough. Those that cover the computers (despite Delany saying you can't tell how they'll come out) had already forecasted a win wouldn't put OSU over Bama.

I don't think it will happen because there are too many things that would have to fall into place. Just as another example, how many suspected we'd see so many teams lose in 2007 during the last week? It was those losses that were the primary catalyst to push LSU up to where they were.

This^

So many folks have already forgotten all of the teams that just imploded to give 'Bama a chance to be in that game. Standford, Oregon, Okie State... I digress.

If I remember, OSU didn't even play a championship game, they just move the OK game to the week of the other championship games to stay in the spotlight.
