...er, off? I can't help but think of Rita, and Kristi, and then there's Gott's wife. Geez. :smh:

Gregg Marshall’s wife was out of control and definitely not a KSR fan

We had some fun sitting next to the Wichita State section and it almost cost me my NCAA credential, which I intend to use next weekend in Memphis and then again in Phoenix.

It all happened when I shared a video of the craziest woman in the arena, who happened to be right next to me, and who happened to be the wife of Wichita State head coach Gregg Marshall. It didn’t take long for the tweet to get to her and that’s when all hell broke loose.

Someone from the NCAA came and got my name and told me I could no longer tweet about her because ā€œit made her upset.ā€ I guess it didn’t make anyone else upset when she told Malik Monk to get in the weight room or told Isaiah Briscoe to buy some bigger shorts or told Calipari to ā€œshut the f-ck upā€ or told Roger Ayers he is garbage or any of the other classy things she yelled between F-bombs.

The poor security guard made multiple attempts to calm her down before calling for help and then deciding ā€œwe have to be delicate because she is the coach’s wife.ā€

But I’m the bad guy for drawing attention to her. I guess I deserved the ā€œMOTHER F-CKER!ā€ after the game.

I just hope she has a safe trip back to Wichita.

In an Uber.

UPDATE TIME!

I’m in trouble again. This time they came over to me in the media room and demanded I delete the video.

It’s getting fun in here!

Does Forde have the stones to reply to the tweet from the Wichita Eagle photog?

His comments are interesting to say the least.

Matt and I met at the KSR headquarters in Indianapolis and decided to put it up again.

He took the high road.

Marshall took the initial blame for the lack of execution in the postgame news conference. Then Shamet said, no, he should get the blame as the point guard. There was one other opinion aired in the Wichita postgame news conference, while Shamet was talking about the final seconds.

ā€œHe got fouled,ā€ said Marshall’s wife, Lynn, quite audibly.

She was wearing a Wichita State jersey and sitting among reporters. It’s become fairly standard for some members of a team’s entourage to sit in on postgame news conferences – silently. Popping off about the officiating during one is a bit much.

Lynn Marshall had just made a spectacle of herself for two hours, boisterously cheering for the Shockers and against the Wildcats and sometimes against the refs, too. This was standard operating procedure during games for Mrs. Marshall, as anyone in the Missouri Valley Conference will tell you. There are plenty of intense wives of coaches in college basketball, but she might be the most intense.

The Shockers’ motto is ā€œPlay Angry.ā€ Lynn Marshall’s might as well be ā€œCheer Angry.ā€

Forde's response, and comments here in that article, remind me of Chris Low and how he's handled Freeze. It's my impression they are more interested in staying on the good side of the coach they are covering so they'll have more interview opportunities in the future rather than report what's actually going on.

Chickenshit move. Not really surprised though, I'm not a Forde fan.

Some reports out there suggesting Triple G is a candidate for Indiana, gotta wonder if this has an impact.

Yeah good trade... Miss the tourney year after year so that his wife doesn't annoy some nearby fans!! Good reason to pass on an elite coach.

Pretty well known by now though that he was just using Bama for leverage. He's pretty happy in Shockerville.

BTW the above comments are funny as sh*t! Much props to G. Marshall for having a ride or die chick

Annoy?

You have the wife of a coach who is yelling, ""Come On, Let's F@&k some S@$T Up" wouldn't annoy me as a fan. It would embarrass the hell out of me because she's representing my University.

I wouldn't be yelling that crap, anywhere. A wife and mother? In my opinion it's sad as well as a display of the lack of discretion and common decency. Hell, reminds me of some of the young punks we've seen rioting over the last few years.

"Let's fuck some shit up?" If that doesn't bother you coming from anyone (male or female) we've definitely two different perspectives. If I had a "lady friend" pulling this ... she'd find herself googling Uber.

On a side note look at this tweet ... I promise you, I'll be stopping by his desk when he gets back in town and not just to talk about this story. This tweet shocked me a bit.

I heard Coach K say, "we haven't had any attitude problems within this team this year." I guess a player getting pissed off and tripping other players is a great attitude. :sarcasm:

Lynn Non-controversy

I loved this line: "There isn't justification. It's just a convenient story so they don't have to focus on the fact that Big Bad Kentucky nearly lost to little ole Wichita State."

"...little ole [sic] Wichita State?" What was it, two years ago where they were undefeated? Sounds like a lot of Auburnites little man syndrome.

Loosen the collar there big guy... She was drunk having a good time. If it was a legitimate issue I'm sure it would have been publicized in today's social media era. Either way the story is funny to me, not that serious.

Marshall wasn't coming to Alabama anyway... So let's not act like a delusional Texas fan trying to throw Saban under the bus for something silly. This non-story has nothing to do with Alabama.

Sounds like she was having an awful time. Colorful language having a good time can be bypassed in the midst of adults, but being a belligerent idiot in the midst of children and younger people is an entire different thing. Just shows lack of class or the fact you want to cuss out loud to sound cool. Kind of like rolling into a gas station with your music thumping just so people can hear the artist drop the F-bomb, just so you look "cool". But hey, if you think your wife or girlfriend looks cool and hawt when running her mouth in a fowl way in a large group of people, that's your pleasure, but it may not be anyone else's.

I'm sure WSU can't wait to cut ties to get a classier coaches wife... lol

In this thread alone there are what...15 different tweets about this? There's a thread dedicated to the incident on the Wichita State forums. But, it's not a legitimate issue because it isn't publicized in today's social media? I've seen it on at least a dozen forums outside of this one, outside of the WSU sites...yet, it's not publicized in today's social media?

Damn beau! It's all over the place.

It's funny to me as well because I'm laughing at her. Any, and let me emphasis ANY adult acting in this manner isn't funny. It's sad.

Here's the thing you may miss. I was there when Beth showed her ass to Finebaum in Coleman. It wasn't funny. You may think Kristi's antics are funny because it's Auburn related. But I assure you, those sane Auburn fans were, and still are, embarrassed.

But I'll go with your asssertion this isn't that big of a deal because it isn't publicized ... oops, then there's google.
