My worst fear:

With Julio being a Jr......IF it happend...i have to wonder. And usually where ever you see Julio you see Mark not far away.
I still think we lynch these agents to set an example. Not a chance in Hell of the AG doing ANYTHING. That Looser is on his way out anyway. Why should he bother. Would take up to much of his time away from hanging out @ Club 322 & wearing womens underware. (Case ya'll outside Montgomery don't know...Troy King has been spoted @ that bar a bunch. It's not hard to find, Just look for the downtown club with the RAINBOW outside) So i doubt he has any interst @ all in prosocuting these slime balls.
Not sure what the laws onthe books are here in Bama....but they need to be a class A felony punishable by 500,000 fine and 25 yar prison term max.
Matter of fact we need to make it a grass roots effort to get that on the books.

This sucks. I don't understand how these guys think they can get away with this kind of stuff in the internet age. Everyone is a reporter or wants to "break" a story on a message board. Aren't most agents lawyers? no wonder they're scum.

The saving grace will be that he funded his own way down there and paid for things himself. It's a snowballs chance in hell of being the case. I spoke with a high school coach that coached Dareus at Huffman and he made the comment back in the fall that Dareus would be gone after his junior year if he had a breakout year as a junior. He claimed that he actually saw the family fridge with nothing in it at all. Hopefully the NCAA will look at this like the fishing trip last Spring and make restitution be made and the agent be strung up by his "family jewels" from the tallest flag pole. Scumbags like these guys are ruining these kids. I think there will be a "bunch" more names that will come out by the end of the week that were at this party. There will be several more schools that have high profile kids that get caught up in this.

First, if Dareus did participate then he gets what he deserves. He just better not take the team down with him. Something tells CNS will not let this kid play a down until he knows for sure the NCAA's stance on Dareus, if ever. What a shame.

Second, sports agents have been screwing up Alabama for years (going back to Langham). I have very little respect for these turds that do this sorta thing. I think Alabama should put a firewall up on them from now on. They are too much of a liability, especially considering the egg shells we are walking on already.

Third, I'm all for the NCAA actually enforcing some their rules on agent involvement. It is about time. But something tells me this witch hunt is going to make things worse before they get better. Including 'Bama.

PERSPECTIVE: The worst this could get is Dareus being inelligable starting now. No different impact to Bama than if he were to blow out a knee.

PERSPECTIVE: The party in question was this summer, the same time many college students take trips to the beach. ITS MIAMI, not MONICO. One can drive there you know.

PERSPECTIVE: It was party, not an Agent treating an Athlete to a on-on-one dinner. The NCAA is seeking to fight special treatment. Being one of a houseful of people makes you "common", which is what the NCAA seeks.

QUESTION: Noting that Agents can speak to athletes (not sign), how would an agent best introduce an athlete to his entire staff? Answer: Gather them up at one place and one time. Other than in a office, how do you do that so that someone can't spin it as a party?

Could we seriously end up back on probation for this? I'm nervous because after our probation back in 2002, the NCAA kind of went to sleep. Then, stupid ass USC woke them up. Now, they are back in full-on out to get somebody mode, and who better than us. I am just sick over this.

Okay, I feel a little bit better. I heard that IF Dareus is forthcoming then the worst case scenario will be that one, he will have to make restitution and two, sit out the San Jose State game. And that's if the agent did in fact pay for everything. But, Dareus must be completely honest about everything. So, finegrs crossed, maybe, just maybe they can get this fire put out pretty quickly. I think we can live without Marcel for the San Jose State game.

This just kills me! Of course my friend, who unfortunately is an Auburn fan, has been sending me messages. "I heard Jones and Ingram were there too", "I heard Dareus is gone", and then I mention some other school players, and he says "Well they said they were not at the party". Oh he kills me, such a Bama hater!

I just caught a quickie piece on ESPN about Saban making an "Official Comment" and he pretty much tore into the NFL for allowing agents to have contact with players.
