News on Bama's possible early departures will come out soon. The big 3, Cyrus K, HaHa Clinton-Dix, and Adrian Hubbard are the 3 most everyone is interested in. As of now, all 3 are talking to agents (which is ok to do). Cyrus is a little further along in the process however, and has indicted that he is likely to declare. That can still change, but he is putting the pieces together to make the jump.

99% chance on Ha-Ha leaving from what I understand.

And I can't blame Hubbard for leaving either. I just don't see how he'll be able to prove more than he already has with what we have on the defensive line.

Agreed.

In enemy news, Mason is doing the same deal... discussing things with agents. I would guess he's going to be advised strongly to go as well.

Honestly Bran, with Hubbard I don't see how he doesn't make the move. I've mentioned playing time with guys like Allen and Robinson coming into their own. In "real life" terms he got a choice of starting grad school or taking his shot at the NFL.

It wouldn't be a tough decision for me.

I'd say it's a good move for Mason to make the jump. I've not looked over the entire college football landscape (running backs) but our conference is going to be heavy with talent in that position next season. The chances he's in the same spotlight next year are slim as I see this situation.

Terry, are you saying his playing time would DECREASE next year if he stays or that he'll be double teamed since Bama doesn't have much talent around him?

I think Mason needs to consider the wear and tear of another college season of having 30-45 carries a game. We all know the shelf life of the RB's can be shorter than some positions, especially when rotation is not the regular strategy. He had a ton of carries, at least the last half of the season...

He's saying that he will likely not get as much playing time with all the young talent coming and currently on the roster coming into their own. He cant really make his stock any better.

It'd be stupid if any of them don't declare. Hubbard is the big one because he's not going to get his stock any higher with staying and getting less playing time.

Mason would be stupid not to go

Cyrus is one that could improve his stock with another year. Then again, returning could be a risk. Right now, his agent can sell him as a guy who is still raw, but has the size and tools to develop. There is also enough good film of him to support that.

My question for you guys that are more knowledgable than I. What round do you think Hubbard goes in?

Ive seen guys with more talent and a better college career go 2nd round and lower, i.e. Upshaw. I don't see him as a 1st rounder and maybe not a 2nd rounder. I don't think he had that great a year. But again, I'm not really a scout or good talent and skills evaluator, I'll admit.

2-4 round.

Cyrus K, HaHa, & Hubbard update...

I don't understand how Cyrus is a 1st round pick...he was part if the problem on the OL ...we are not going to miss him... Or Arie...the K brothers set the record for most false starts

2-4 round.

I'd say that's about right. A guy that hasn't gotten much attention but scouts love is Stinson. He could go in round 2. Cyrus is currently projected in round 1, despite his struggle this past year. Mosley is of course a lock for round 1, likely a top 15 pick. HaHa is the top rated safety out there. It is going to be another big year for Bama in the Draft.

Jesus. I'm not sure this board can hold anymore Bama haters. We have too many now.

Wait, wrong thread.

Stinson is gonna make some team very happy, one of the better defensive lineman in the entire draft in regards to run defense in my opinion. Never missed a single practice or game his entire career at Bama either.
