🏈 Confirmed Jase is out for the season with surgery tomorrow. "Roydell Williams, it's your turn."

I've been impressed with this guy since I first saw his game highlights. He's done well in his limited appearances with Bama.

Nick Saban: "Roydell Williams, he's played well when he's had the opportunity to play. He got some extensive playing time vs. Southern Miss. We're very confident in him. We have to replace Jase in a lot of areas on our team. I think he'll do a good job."

I hate that about Jase. Did I totally black out at some point and miss him getting hurt? I didn't even notice anything until late in the game and verified in a later game when I saw the bottom ticker on ESPN. He was really a guy we could lean on and get us those medium to long down and distance yards. Roydell and Camar better be ready. You too, Trey.

I know i did! I didn't know he was hurt until @Brandon Van de Graaff posted about it during the game thread! Best of luck on your recover.

I believe it was on a run late 2nd half toward our sideline. I rewatched trying to locate exactly when it was, but the cameras cut away quickly back to the next play. I thought maybe he was just winded, but he never came back out.

Wheaton can still be a factor down the road. He can play in 4 games and still redshirt. It's a LONG season.

Leary or Story could be candidates. They need to run Milroe some, regardless of how that works. Texas did that a couple years back when backup QB Roschon Johnson started taking RB reps, and he is now a really good RB. For Milroe, it might be tricky but he's built for it.

Roydell's time is now. He looks good.

Sanders has been brought along slowly, but he HAS to play more now. He still can play good ball even if he's not 100% compared to last year.

First off - That sucks for McLelan. He was looking like the absolute real deal... And what probably hurts most is how good he was receiving. Looked natural and he always made the first guy miss.

On the positive, it will be good to see RW get his shot. I liked him more than any of these guys coming out of HS... Not sure if he's any good at pass catching, but I love his aggression and balance. He runs tough and will improve quickly with snaps.

As long as Sanders can get healthy in a couple weeks, the position should be alright.

On another note - What ever happened to Kyle Edwards? I knew he was transferring but where did he end up? And the Keilan Robinson thing stings a little right now, although early in the season he was getting next to no run with Texas. To be fair they have a great back though.

Heard today K Rob was only seeing special teams PT for Texas - never blamed him but not looking like a wise move.

RW will do great.

Would love to see T Sanders healthy enough to contribute.

The idea of Christian Leary for depth sounds PERFECT!!!

Don't think they want Trey Sanders with a big load week to week yet, but he's good enough to go and knows the assignments... he's just still not 100%, but 100% is rare at this point anyway. I think the Sanders that @TerryP was referring to is Drew Sanders (thumb fracture). He hurt this thumb on the first OM drive of the game but didn't miss a snap.
