Damn fool finally threw the ball too far. Sadly spectators said too far really wasn't all that far unless you were going by how far off target it was... which was really far.

Coker injured his foot he will be out 3-5 days.

Minor foot injury requiring him to miss 3-5 days makes me think that he got his drive foot stepped on during the scrimmage. A plant foot wouldn't be as bothersome and could be tolerated. With him not already holding the starting position, I think it puts him down the ladder for a start come Dallas. Looks like Morris, Cornwell, and Barnett will be battling it out come Saturday.

this is crappy - we need a leader at the qb position and right now we are not so sure. Oh well, lets hope our defense keeps everybody out of the end zone.

This can't be good for Coker. But this may push one of the other guys to step up and take the bull by the horns like Saban is wanting. Who knows? But either way somebody has to play quarterback in a few weeks.

I hope he makes a quick recovery and this doesn't hurt his chances. A break in throwing (no telling the number of throws they're making right now) might even help him if he's having accuracy problems.

Regardless, all of the QB's are busting their cans right now to get ready for the season, along with the rest of the team. I'm not going to disparage any of them.

Check the team update thread but cornwell and Barnett recieved equal reps with 1st team in which Barnett was better.

No one in the Bama organization would fabricate a surgery so the player could save face. Even if he was out of the hunt, they would still be preparing him as a backup.

Ok. You might be right. But removing an in-grown toe nail is considered "surgery".
