The roster says senior tight end Brian Vogler packed on five pounds over the past two months, but there's more to the story.
The period between Alabama's Sugar Bowl loss to Oklahoma and its first practice of the spring wasn't about gaining or losing weight.
"It wasn't so much about gaining weight or losing weight," Vogler said Wednesday. "Just turning everything more into positive weight. Just trimming down fat and turning it more into muscle."
Vogler was among a large group of Alabama players who added at least a pound or two between Jan. 2 and March 15. A handful of others went in the opposite direction.
We've chronicled some of the most notable figures to emerge from Alabama's updated spring roster.
