I love having beer and watching football....i love sitting in stands watching football...without obnoxious people around...

I hear ya, and feel the same way.........but from a statistical standpoint, I remember when the B1G started allowing it and OSU said their alcohol related "issues" in the stands actually decreased. Sounds like a good sales job, but that was what they said. IDK. There is a ton of alcohol consumed before and during the game. I know it can get worse with ass-hats in the stands, but we will see.

Like everyone coming in the stadium is sober and no one snuck anything in? Like being at the Tennessee game doesnt smell like a bourbon distillery.

I get it the chance for more bad behavior, but maybe it also stops people from binge drinking before coming in. Who knows. While my daughter was at Georgia Tech we went to some football games and they serve beer. Never saw a lot of issues. But being a Tech game makes you want to drink anyway.

I will have maybe one or two and just enjoy the game. Another way to give Tuscaloosa and the University more of my money.

Glad we sold our tickets for this year (for other reasons) but this probably did it for us.

Don’t get me wrong….. I enjoy a few drinks and a good time as much as anyone. But so many just take it too far and make the experience unpleasant for the folks around them. If I’m not enjoying the experience, why should I shell out the money it cost to be there?
