🏈 Brian Schottenheimer leaves the Jets

Wow guys jumping ship now, that place must be a cesspool...

But you're not suggesting him for our OC are u? Yikes, Saban would strangle him before a half of football is over with... have you seen the way this numbskull calls plays? Close games and he's chucking the ball all around the field with a HORRIBLE QB and a running game thats average 5 yards a carry but decides to abandon it. yeah, no thank you to him either lol

That, versus the time he spent in San Diego with his father. Different owner, different personnel, different coaching staff, a 12-2 record in Marty's last year there.

Saban has a pretty strong relationship with the Jets staff from what I understand. I would discount Brian's ability, or dismiss the notion he's being considered for the OC job.

IMO, he'd be a better hire than Pease.

With Pease at UF I think Schotty is the front runner for our OC. Would be a good fit here for a couple years before taking a HC job somewhere. Ive heard him rumored for a few HC jobs already.... doesnt really matter much because our playbook hasnt changed regardless of who the OC is

Seems like a good hire to me (if he is hired that is). Florida ties (recruiting), college coaching experience, been an OC in the NFL and been to 2 AFC title games with a lesser NFL QB.

I guess all I really want is someone that can develop a QB (because if Saban hires them, they will be a good recruiter and playcalling won't be very different).
