🏈 Bouncy Target in HD

I noticed in one of A. G.'s field goals he was facing that giant walmark's flatscreen. Just before and during his kick, albrun teknishuns [sic] showing a bulls eye target that kept bouncing around the screen. ( Surely meant to distract the kicker.) Is this just another one of Albrens trickerations, or do other teams with large HD screens do this as well?

I was under the impression that DURING the play they aren't supposed to show anything other than the play itself on those screens.

That's what my thought was when I noticed that yesterday. It led me to wonder what is "during" the play? It seems like it should be as soon as the official makes the ball ready for play.

One thing I don't think they considered when they put that board up is how it would change the shading. I saw someone mention the visitors side is now shaded down there. I'll have to go back and look when the replay comes on...

I put this in another thread, but did anyone else notice that many times they had the volume up and blaring when Alabama was calling their play signals? I thought they couldn't use any artificial noise once the players came to the line.

I don't think there is a rule about what they can show (not everyone has their big screen in the endzone). They just aren't allowed to have anything that interferes with the operation of the play (noise).
