🏈 Boise State's Petersen to be named as new Washington head coach

So what's changed with his personal life to allow him to take a Washington job. That's something that has always been mentioned as a roadblock.

There's been mention of his sons medical condition for years but it's my understanding he's been doing very well the last few years.

It's my opinion that the move is more about location versus opportunity. As pointed out here on many occasions, the life around LA isn't for everyone.

What were his issues? The only stuff I ever knew/read about seemed to be message board rumors about his religion that I doubt are even accurate. Even that though, if true, wouldn't be an issue to those west coast schools... and shouldn't have been an issue with any around here.

When his son was dealing with his brain tumor and the recuperation from treatment I recall many mentioning the relationship with the doctor, the proximity to medical care, and the "agreement" he had with school officials being a positive for CCP. I believe his son has been in remission for at least four years now.

It reminded me of the TE coach (can't pull his name) who left Bama and joined Cut at Duke...

Gotcha.
