šŸˆ Bo Nix, the legend?

He’s like Auburn created their dream QB in a lab at the school!!!! Right down to the name... Bo Nix

He’s got it all... except accuracy.

It took until the 4th quarter to decide what I would call him for a nickname... BOverthrow Nix

His passing needs work, could've had more than just two INT. He is a good athlete and helps himself with his feet, but I think as the season progresses and he gets dinged a bit his quickness will suffer, then he'll take more shots.

Not to totally divert the thread......but I was extremely underwhelmed by the Auburn defensive front. After hearing all the hype during the off season about the fact that the defense will be the key to Auburn having a chance to win every game this season......I was not impressed. I don't know if they under-performed or if Oregon played that well. Adjustments were definitely made at he half and Auburn did play better, but still did not shut down Oregon completely. If Oregon had a little luck, they could have easily won this game.

I feel about this game, much like I did the UF/Miami game. Florida not that good and Miami is not that bad.

Auburn not that good (espicially on D) and Oregon is not that bad.

To hear the delusional barner fan base tell it, there will be no need for any actual Heisman voting this season. Bo Newton already has it won. All he needs to do is write his speech. Those idiots went from "fire Gus" to "he deserves another raise and extension" in the span of about 5 minutes last Saturday. Bo Newton cashed in off of an Oregon team that was only playing not to lose in the second half. If history has taught us anything, it's that playing not to lose against the barn won't work. That is when their fluke ass shit starts happening. Balls will bounce from one players helmet, off of a coach's elbow, fly through ten of the opposing teams' defenders' hands, land on the back of a barner receiver where he runs, hunched over all the way to the end zone without touching the ball once. The barn has to have the air taken completely out of them and Oregon missed multiple chances to do that. This 14th coming of Cam is so full of himself right now. I can't wait until he starts playing against some real defenses. He won't know what hit him.

we were discussing after the game the humor of watching other inexperienced teams reckon with Barner luck. They have no idea that balls can magically bounce of of 4 helmets and land in the arms of a lurking barner, and that is a normal thing. As Bama fans, it hardly surprises us when these events occur.

Even Barners don't like to admit that there is some form of agricultural magic that surrounds their team.

I actually turned the game off when they got the ball for their final possession. I knew that lucky rabbit's foot or horseshoe was going to be pulled out of their ass and they would win.
Nix has some moxy about him, but he was no where near the great QB that the FAMBLY proclaimed. 13/31 2 INTs losing you the game 9 out of 10 times. Oregon and Cristobal played not to lose in the second half and it bit them in the ass.

Can someone, anyone, explain to me how Bo Nix is a legend?
After one game and a sub par game at that with 42% passing and 13 for 31 with two interceptions.
I guess the term ā€œLegend ā€œ means something different in the media and auburn.

And his last pass wasn't that good anyway... the WR had to come back to it and go over the safety to make a play. Had he thrown the ball deeper into the endzone, the WR would be been standing alone. Any good Safety would have had that ball as an easy pick...

I will say this, Oregon has a good front Oline. I too was not impressed with the DL for aU, but I'll hold my evaluation for a few more games.

Tua became a legend after one game. If AU fans want to make Nix a legend after one game, that's their decision.

Coming in during the second half of a National Championship game you are losing and winning said game as a Freshman is legendary.

Winning against a team that seemed determined to lose in the season opener after spending most of hte game playing terribly is a little less so.

He is a good athlete and helps himself with his feet, b

People on here were weirdly saying he "can't run" before the season...

But yeah, he's a subpar passer but he's also just a freshman. Kid clearly has ice water in his veins. He will have multiple games with three or more picks this season IMO. I also question whether or not he will ever truly improve because of who his coach is.

But really, he did exactly what Tebow did in the pros to become "legendary." Play like shit for three and 3/4 of the game with a defense that keeps you in it and and then when the opposing defense is playing soft (and tired) score on the game-winner.

All I'm saying is that Nix brought the team from behind and won the game. Auburn led the game for only the final nine seconds. The game wasn't as important as the NC game. The rankings of the teams weren't the same as Alabama-Georgia. Personally, I think too much is made from all the hooha after one game (Auburn wins, Jalen wins, Heisman rankings, Tennessee/FSU/Ole Miss/Missouri loses). Let's wait until October before we start ranking anything.

Legend? Don't think so. He did look fairly calm under pressure and seemed to provide leadership. Not bad for a first game freshman. However, his accuracy was terrible. Much worse than I was expecting.
