You can't get upset at that. it's too early to come out with bet, But if I had to guess... Look at the order of SEC teams in order... it's reasonable. This is a joke, right? K State? Penn St? Miami? Arizona? Utah? All those teams have a better chance than Bama? That's absolutely ridiculous. And why do they keep giving so much love to Michigan? They're in worse shape than Bama. They lost a ton of talent on both sides of the ball, not to mention the legendary coach that built their program. I predict that Michigan will be 7-5 this year, and will be destroyed by OSU.
Look at it through the lense of 2024's conference realignments. IE: AZ and KSU could both win the Big 12 and as conference champs automatic bid. Could Miami win the ACC? Yes. Outside chance, but yes. This is a joke, right? K State? Penn St? Miami? Arizona? Utah? All those teams have a better chance than Bama? That's absolutely ridiculous.
I could see them getting to the 10 win mark and the B1G title game. A runner up finished for the conference? That's a probable invitation from that conference.Good ole Penn State. When will everyone (media) learn they are a middle of the road program?

10-3 last season with the biggest hurdle this season is their home game with OSU.
IF they go over 9½ the +200 has some value. Same with UA +225.

At its core it is similar. I don't think they've announced their tie-breaker rules. I remember the old format was based on winning percentages. With the addition of these news teams its seems like they end up with less head to head play. How is the Big Ten doing their conference championship? Like the SEC? Easy regular season schedule, but still doubt they finish Top 2 in conference.

I don't think Michigan will be one of the top two. Who else could it be besides PSU?
Michigan: In my view, too much attrition on the players end (seniority laden squad,) a tougher schedule than last season, and the coaching changes.I think Michigan, Iowa, or Washington.

Without the senior leadership seen last season when has UM threatened?
Iowa is looking at the same scenario as PSU: common opponents with OSU and Wisconsin. I don't believe they have the offensive talent to showcase what a new coordinator might bring.
Washington? Coaching changes combined with road schedule: @PSU and the Ducks In November.
I could see three 10 win teams...that's the reason I mentioned the tie-breaker(s.) I'm thinking they go with winning percentage more quickly than playoff rankings. They could have a three way tie, use those rankings, and the team that didn't make the CCG is in the playoff at 10-2 vs 10-3 sitting at home. (We've seen something similar with divisions.)
I don't think we're going to see the same format in '25 as we do this fall. I don't expect the no divisions within a conference to help anything except boost controversy.
Iowa had an OC?Gotta like Ohio State at 1 of course. I think Michigan, Iowa, or Washington. I get it, laugh at Iowa, but if they keep playing good D you never know with a new OC. I just think Penn State isn't a legit threat. They may make 12 with favoritism due to name, but we know they don't rise to tge occasion. A lot like Miami, USC, Texas, and Notre Dame.
I promise you this. At some point this season, 90% of the college football world will ask, "what conference are they in now?" How many people, off the top of their head, could name all the members of the Big 12? I'd struggle.Totally forgot about Oregon. Geez. I think they do well, even though I overlooked them in my reply, ha ha.
Think back over the last several years for a minute. Did you like watching Maction during the week?Iowa had an OC?
Yeah, I watched a few MAC games. They played a lot of games scheduled to be the only teams playing (Kudos to their PR department there). I'm not sure a new OC can fix Iowa. Ferentz should have got canned back when they got rid of Doyle but kept his son (Brian) who had the same accusations.Think back over the last several years for a minute. Did you like watching Maction during the week?
While I don't know a lot about Lester, Iowa's new OC, I do remember watching Western Michigan play a few times. I enjoyed the games. Up until last season he was the HC up there.
I dont know who is in big 10. Without straining to thinkI promise you this. At some point this season, 90% of the college football world will ask, "what conference are they in now?" How many people, off the top of their head, could name all the members of the Big 12? I'd struggle.
