🏀 GAME THREAD 🏀 Alabama grabs needed road win at Auburn, 96-92

"Stepping back from the three trees..."

About as soon as I saw the game was on ESPN2 I had to see who was calling the game. As soon as I saw Vitale? It was muted days before it tipped off.

There's a bigger picture I see in this self-created world in which I live...

Duke at UNC last night and Vitale is calling Bama hosting AU? Is he part of the B team now? The Duke v UNC game was their "A" game yesterday.

However...

Three man crews aren't uncommon in basketball coverage. TNT uses them all the time. CBS uses a three man crew for their afternoon games. (They'll have one today for Michigan vs Ohio State with Pearl.) ESPN used one yesterday: Bama hosting AU. (1 of 20 games that were not on ESPN+)

It's odd when Vitale isn't calling a nationally televised game on ESPN. It's extremely odd when you add "Tobacco Road" in the mix.
Aweful ......Really.....fricking......awful
But no sound. .... not bad

I know officials are human. Miss calls
But at end of game .... called goaltending..... wasnt even close....
And offense foul for guys getting position.... incredible calls to favor home team ...
Awful

Awful
Over the last five years the average number of fouls called in a D1 game has only fluxuated by 1.5 (it may be 1.4.) It's basically 38-40, per game, across the board. 39 called last night with Bama only having one more. While we all saw some things I'm not too terribly disappointed there.

Steals and blocks: AU had one more than Bama's 12.

AU had a half of a dozen more 3PTA's...also made 20 percent less than Bama. (Bama shot over 50 percent for the game; everywhere. Well, except the line.)

What's a little odd is the TO:A numbers from both teams. AU did well, 12:5. Bama had about that many turnovers; 14. But, they left the game with 17 assists.

Didnt pay much attention to officiating. Till then. Was just obvious blatant bias calls.
Goal tending wasnt even close. And offensive foul ...much more contact then that....AU player did some play acting...

Absolutely terrible

The Bama/Auburn hoops games aren’t the same without Brandon’s guy CBM on the court for Auburn.

I'd like to to believe that had be been around yesterday, Amari Allen would have clotheslined the shit out of him running up the court.

I watched the highlight this morning. I did hear about how @Brandon Van de Graaff favorite announcer Dickey V talked mostly about the G player. He was more interested in talking about Duke and UNC than the game. He should either announce the game or quit his job right now.

Gotta sync it with the CTSN broadcast... problem solved.
