Before anyone chimes in on the defense, the offense had one 3 pointer in the last 5:46 of the game and 0 2 pointers. The offense before that point? 1 2 pointer in 4 minutes. So in almost 10 minutes, we had 1 2 point basket and 1 3 point basket for the final 10 minutes of the game. Just horrible team play, nobody outside of Philon capable of creating. UT fixed the Bediako screen action and then we had no answer anywhere on the floor afterwards.

Another inexcusable loss at home, and it really was due to poor coaching. Just unbelievable. Loss at home to Texas, got blown out by Arizona; allowed Gonzaga to pull away due to to no self awareness of momentum changes; inexcusable loss to Texas at home; and then fall flat on your face vs TN again, despite picking up a professional player at 5.

A complete whiff on the portal class. Zero improvement on defense. And more injuries than the Vietnam tunnel rats. Not a great recipe.

Geez, can't foul when we actually need to, but can on every other defensive possession.

I mean, our coaches had to get after our guys to foul when we are down two possessions with less than 15 seconds left.


You gotta foul and try and extend the game.


That and we are jack it up state in terms of offense. Lane closed? Throw it up 8 feet behind the three point line……iT mAkEs MoRe SeNeSe…… Not one guy will take their damn dribble to the hole and just try to draw a foul.

Has CNO’s reach his peak at Alabama especially with the constant lack of defense? It’s almost like every game the plan is just to try and outscore the other team. The one thing that is consistent with this team is terrible defense.

I mean, TN was efficient and did whatever they wanted on offense. It's just piss poor coaching at this point. Brian Adams is arguably one of the worst defensive coaches in the country. Oats wants a good D but he does not understand it.

Give straight losses to TN for Oats. It's all on him. He preaches so much about toughness and focusing on defense, yet it's all talk. His two seasons where he had an elite D is an outlier.

Also, the last true elite win Alabama at home was against auburn two seasons ago. Losses to TN (twice), Florida (twice), auburn (last year), Purdue, and a defacto home blow out loss to Arizona.

Just not a good look honestly. The team plays hard but they're soft as fuck.

I'll say it again, I don't know that this team is a top 25 team. Can things change? Maybe, with Bediako things are moving in the right direction at least in the paint and on defense with a rim protector but we GOTTA find some people to get open and hit 3s. We gotta learn how to create and float to open space. We are constantly standing still and letting them guard us up. If a team plays physical with the ball action and just drops coverage in the middle we can't seem to figure it out. Every team has done this, the difference is if we are hitting our shots it changes the aspect. Guys have to go further out on the perimeter...we need consistent players and consistent scorers.
