While the majority of Alabama’s football players are attending class during the daytime, McElroy is either in bed, watching game film or doing something other than schoolwork.

It’s not that McElroy is cutting class. The junior quarterback just doesn’t have to go … in the daytime, that is. As a graduate student, most of McElroy’s classes are at night.

“It’s a different schedule,” the first-year starter said. “It’s not that tough. I actually like being able to sleep in and do other things during the day.”
