I think most Alabama fans were of the opinion - after the OSU/Sugar Bowl loss - that Alabama would not have matched up well with Oregon anyway, that the Ducks' high-octane passing attack would have overwhelmed our secondary, resulting in a lopsided Alabama loss. What happened last night in the CFP NC game undercuts that analysis. We were far closer to beating OSU than Oregon ever was. I will always believe that if Derrick Henry had gotten the same number of carries in our game against OSU that Ezekiel Elliott got for OSU against Oregon (36 carries), we would have beaten OSU and, later, Oregon. Oh well, if pigs had wings ...
