AT&T buying Alltel from Verizon in Alabama?

Anybody else heard/read anything about this? If so, that would be great. I love AT&T customer service, and as long as you're in a city or on an interstate, signal coverage is great. But, AT&T's rural coverage sux, blows, or whatever other negative adjective you want to use. Alltel on the other hand has great service in rural areas.

AT&T bought Alltel here in Wyoming, but they don't take over for Alltel until next month. I am curious how the coverage will be. Alltel sucked up here, the coverage anywhere, but right inside a city sucked. I lived a small town almost a suburb of Casper and the coverage just 2 miles outside of Casper sucks horribly, so I'm hoping with AT&T it'll get better because I don't want to keep paying for cell phone service that sucks.
