🏈 As Bama Improves on Weaknesses, Some Still Remain.

Terry, when you look at last years special teams and this years, do you see improvement, the same thing, what?

What are your thoughts on Bobby Williams?

I dont know what the average starting position was for Ole Miss on kickofffs but it had to be pretty good. Our kickoff coverage seem to be giving really good field position to the opposition. Something that USC excels at is special teams. It must be a concern of the staff....

Whats the issue there? Some would say poor tackling...but I think the holes are so big...huge lanes being opened up on our guys. When we actually touch the ball carrier..he goes down.

Ole Miss still had 2 returns past the 35 I believe:swear:

Tiffin did get a couple of kicks into the end zone or very close and thus we defended those great! Of course the wind was at his back on each of those! (remember the Ole Miss punt that went 70 yards in the air=wind at back)

Punt return to the 48, kick return to the 44—both in the first quarter.

There was also a kick return to the 42 and the end of the third quarter. That was the one where Nico forced a fumble, but Bolden recovered it after dropping it.

We do need some work, no doubt. However, none of those short field situations resulted in points this past weekend.

Can we say that in the future? I doubt it.

South Carolina has some speed guys returning kicks and punts. We'll need to be careful this weekend. Last weekend, 14 of their 28 points were set up with short field position against Kentucky—both from Chris Culliver's kick returns.
