Apparently severity of discipline differs at institutions. For DUI, a player’s scholarship at Tennessee was revoked after his fifth offense, and at Georgia, a player received a one game suspension. At Notre Dame, a player was suspended for one semester from the football and lacrosse teams, and at Clemson, a player was suspended from the team for one year.

I understand the writers point of view here...but, he seriously misstates the facts in Alabama case saying all of these arrests are in this off-season.

Indeed he did. His misrepresentation of the facts was gross journalistic oversight at best and egregious manipulation of the story at worst. Either way it does not say alot about the caliber of his story or writing ability.
