🏈 Are the officials sending Saban a message?

Okay, my father-in-law has been convinced ever since Saban complained about the linemen downfield non-call against Ole Miss where he sent in a video that the officials are purposefully putting the screws to Bama. I told him repeatedly he was imagining things and officials miss calls from time to time, but lately I'm beginning to really wonder. I saw suspect calls go against the Tide at A&M and Arkansas but just dismissed them at the time.
How many PI calls did Tennessee not get called on them yesterday - even Danielson had a comment. I know on the second touchdown UT made I saw a blatant hold that sprang the runner - didn't I? Am I imagining these things now that I hear his conspiracy theory? What about Drake getting called for unsportsmanlike conduct - was that a hit out of bounds that he jumped up and jawed about? I don't know anymore.

In my opinion, you're left with a few choices:

1) Believe there are agenda's and conspiracy groups against teams and all embrace all/everyone that comes with it.
2) Admit there are areas in need of improvement with officiating crews across the NCAA as a whole.
3) #2, and accept it's part of the game.

Well if I can see that foul that Gray talk about, then something need to be done about this. But, then I guess it being going on for as long as football has been played. @TerryP said once about LSU int a pass against Bama in the end zone back in '06? that was an pass interference but it wasn't call. What about spinning the ball I know one UT did and no call, but I have seen somes do it and be flag for it . Even Gray said something about it , but it said OH it no that much "Something like that anyway?"

Saw some bad misses by the refs yesterday but the call on Drake was legit. Missed the freaking 1st down by 3-4 yards and thinks because he rolled a guy while being forced out of bounds it justifies trash talking and jumping around. Completely forgot about the team and went all "ME".

. That was 2004---Corey Webster vs Keith Brown

If you put on your UT glasses (or Arky, Ole Miss, aTm, or any other glasses), you'd be saying the same thing about bias against them. Please stop with the conspiracy theories. You embarrass yourself by thinking everyone is out to get Alabama.

It will never be as bad as the sanctions era. I'm not sure why we bothered to play in a few of those games. Refs mailed it in. We couldn't win anything and were an obstacle.

OP - I have to agree with your FIL. blatant non-calls PI (face guarding) by anyone is allowed except Bama And Drake was hit out of bounds and he got the penalty for saying something to the guy (who he knocked on his ass). Even my wife (who only watches because she loves me... ) notices bad calls

Refs need to be treated with respect. They can never have over a 50% success rate per perception. CBB had it right when he wanted the players to hand the ball to the ref and not make him chase it. He treated them with respect always no matter what. He even hired one to help him with schrimages. I wonder if that is still being done.

If it is done with the right attitude it will help.

Yes, Saban has them at practices all the time. He also has the players hand the ball to the ref, especially after TD's

Just curious, what message would the refs be sending to Saban? How does it benefit the refs? All officials are evaluated by the SEC office. Do you really think that a ref would jeopardize their standing by calling bogus penalties or not enforcing the rules to "get" a coach? Or do you think the SEC office is also in on the conspiracy?

I try one on it my wife cousin(yes he one of those) I couldn't wear them to long I starter to see orange and singing Rocky Top. You right in a way it pan out. The one flag I didn't like was, the chop block to me it didn't really look like one. Gary even said it wasn't. It was the one on the TD drive I think we had like three on the one.

The man Coach Bryant hired was still there just last spring. That more or less became his job!
