Makes more sense. Coaches Poll has me questioning how dumb these millionaires really are.
I had them ranked as #2 on Saturday.Back to this thread... I'm bored more than I care, but I don't understand the Texas A&M love. Good football team, yes. #6 overall though? Nope. IMO, they closer to being #6 overall in just the SEC.
Roll Aggies RollI had them ranked as #2 on Saturday.
(My #2 FAVORITE team - bet you can guess why)
Same reason I did.I had them ranked as #2 on Saturday.

Their OC Klien about blew the game with his thumb up his ass play calling. Trying to get cute when A&M was gashing them on the ground... He definitely won the Clown Shoes Coach of the Weekend Award on Saturday, despite the win.

If one didn't watch game. You could think " AU played pretty good ". You would be wrong
AU td was set up by a fluke int ( why do they always get them! ). Other wise. They still could be playing n not score.
Absolutely terrible offense. QB is so overmatched. 16-17 sacks in last 2 games.
O i remember those days
Is understanding and being able to explain the same thing? No. I don't understand the poll rankings in a lot of situations.but I don't understand the Texas A&M love.
Or until things begin sorting themselves out .....couple more weeks. We will know ..contenders...n pretenders...Is understanding and being able to explain the same thing? No. I don't understand the poll rankings in a lot of situations.
With A&M? Two things. The 0 in the L column, and the W over Notre Dame. That win carrying A LOT of weight.
How is Maryland undefeated but only receiving 7 votes when two loss teams are in the top 25. (It's quality losses if you're looking for a definition...whatever the definition of that is this season.)
Why is UVA ranked but more than a touchdown dog against Louisville? (UL, technically, #30 with 36 votes.)
The AP poll is a "seat filler" in the awards show until the CFB Playoff committee starts having their dress rehearsals.

I might argue their running game room is at the top of the SEC in terms of talent. They sure haven't produced the way I thought they would. It's beyond the polls... and maybe I'll be proven wrong and they'll come out SEC Champs. But from what i've seen of them, which is a good bit (and yes, the ND game should count for something), they are not, "top of the SEC" worthy as some like Klatt have them. I'm not sure what he's seeing, or what I'm not.
That would be the one counter point I have against the "pre-season polls are useless" statements. It gives a lot their starting point. Even if they are saying they don't use their rankings I don't see how anyone can avoid seeing "#______ vs # ______" the first few weeks and simply ignore the numbers. They can say whatever they want but Iām sure itās a starting point.
