It looks like he might have thrown a punch, but when we next see his hand it is on the ground and is open-handed. This video does not offer anything conclusive that I can see. I can't rule out that he was not punching the ground out of anger, and the fact that he was not in a tangled mound of players makes it even more unlikely that he would have risked an penelty that would have resulted in him being suspended for the SEC CG.
