Re: So does Chizik give his former boss Mack Brown pointers... I don't think we could give any pointers to beat bammer. The bammer team that beat Florida would have beaten use as bad as they wanted to. It is now obvious to me that they did not practice for us, did not take us seriously and did not want to show anything. They probably pulled something from the Florida game plan to make that last drive.

I have actually had several Gator fans tell me that after watching the Auburn game they thought they were going to destroy us. and after the first quarter realized that we had been preparing for them since last seasons loss to them.

I will say this. I havent known Florida fans to ever be this quiet. Kinda nice!

Anybody who didn't see that coming a mile away, either wasn't paying attention or didn't know what to look for.

I knew that we have overlooked Auburn...but at the same time, Auburn came out and hit us in the mouth (whether it was a sucker punch or not). They had us stumbling...I don't think we really held anything back against them as far as playcalling...I just think we overlooked them because we figured that we would roll them like the year before.

And at the same token, Florida didn't play as well as they are capable of against us. Probably more because we had a great game plan, and were able to shut down their bread and butter. (I still can't believe that nobody else ever picked up on that shuffle pass that Tebow always runs, all season long)

I qualified my optimism by saying that UF had better have their "A" game in Atlanta. Knowing, not thinking, that if they didn't, they were in for a long day.

I think the biggest factor was time:

AU - Bye Week (extra week is critical)
BAMA - 5 Days week going into game

So many factors (stolen signals, looking ahead, what you said, etc.) that if Auburn was worth a crap they would have won the game.
