🏈 Amarius Mims (UGA's highest rated '21 recruit) and Clay Webb (#1 at his position nationally) enter the portal

So, they're not trying to sign on where the $$$$ are? You know...Okla. UTx, and A&M. Oil money, Black Gold, Texas Tea. JMO, but I am not a fan of the NIL system. It's my thinking that it could very well be the downfall of college sports.

ROLL TIDE!

FYI, I don't think MIms and Webb will come to Alabama. Mostly due to SEC rules. I don't know if they can get waiver to play this fall.

Mims is a sophmore.
Clay Webbs is a junior. He might be able to transfer if he is graduating in May. If he's graduating in December... he's better off waiting til December to transfer, but given how he is transferring now.. He's more likely a year away from graduating.

Webbs were offered by coaches in 2018, who is no longer with the team by now. My guess: UCF, Texas, Oregon, etc.
Mims: He'll have lot of school coming after him. I woldnt' be shocked to see him ending up at Texas or Oregon.

If Webb couldn't sniff anymore playing time than he got at Georgia, he definitely would be wasting his time and a scholarship spot at Alabama.

To add:

He was good on the academics end when he was in high school. I recall reading he made one of the honor rolls at UGA this past year. If he were in Tuscaloosa I'd expect him to graduate in December based on how their structure is set. I can't speak to UGA's.

He still has a RS year.

I don't expect him in Tuscaloosa. The guard position has A LOT of depth and unlike tackle is not an area of immediate need.
