Hard to blame them in their financial situation. Lamb is their guy going forward and Gallup #2. I hope Cooper goes to a contender and NOT the Browns. I doubt the Titans will pursue and pay up for him. I don’t know what the future holds for Julio in Nashville. His year was a dud, but if they cut him, I think they’ll still owe him around $11-13MM. And save only $1MM in cap. He’s injured too damn much and has a back for not finding paydirt. 43 TD’s the last 9 seasons and 4 the last 2 seasons combined.

Because he was so levelheaded in college, I’ve been surprised Cooper has had some awkward circumstances in the NFL.

Dallas got themselves in a bind and releasing him is their way out of it. There is no reason for anyone who knows his contract to even think about trading for him right now as they would pick up too much financially. His stats lie though and somebody is going to see that picking him up is worth it immediately. I expect a few are already salivating.

The Browns know they had no chance of signing him after Dallas released him. Dallas knew they had to get rid of his salary, so they sent him and a 6th round pick and got back a 5th and a 6th round pick and nothing else.

Titans are releasing Julio and keeping Tanehill…. genius move. I understand Julio is at the end of his career and injuries are catching up with him but I doubt they can get anyone better to make Tanehill look good.
