Wrap your head around that... the are a single high school, the freshman all go to one building, the rest go to the main campus. And yes, the stadium they have is pretty sweet, cost them a shit load of money.

Yup, we played two playoff games there last year. Hopefully play in the new one they're building in McKinney ~$50M which will be ready this year.

My kids high school was 3A 10 years ago and now 6A due to growth, 3000 kids strong (grade 9-12) and busting at the seams.

Think about how hard it is to play on any of Allen's Varsity teams...the marching band is ~800 kids.

My school has gone the opposite direction. Was a 4A when I was kid, 3A by the time I got to high school, 2A my senior year and just got reclassified to 1A for next year.

Holy Shit!!!!
My old HS was 3A and we had maybe 80-85 in my graduating class. It is now classified 5A with 150-175 in their senior class.

A friend of a friend posted this on fb in regards to this colossal Taj Mahal:

It’s a small town that FULLY supports its school and athletic program. The district is 22 square miles and has nearly 22,000 students k-12 feeding into one high school. The city council voted unanimously a few years back not to build a second high school. Families from the surrounding area move there so their kids can go to the school and play sports at a high level. The stadium is special and Friday nights exceed most college atmospheres.

Not saying it’s fair or unfair just giving you the facts.

I want to say my graduating class at Trussville in 92 was ~300, looking at their enrollment numbers it really hasn't changed much. They've now got a 9th grade at the high school, didn't when I went to school there.

Things are spread out there...not here. It's just one big city after another. Frisco, TX just south of me went from 35k in 2002 when I moved out here to over 150k now. They have 10 high schools, 58k kids in the school system...let that sink in.

My graduating class was 63, last year's was around 61 so not much drop off but this year's is going to be something like 32. It's insane.

I think I had about 50-60 in my class, but I move to NJ. The class I was in here we may had 30-35 to graduate!

These are population in these town not enrollment in these schools. The only reason Wadley larger population is it has a small college in thew city limit 2016 is these update population.
