I don't disagree with the premise of this article. It's almost a "no schitte" piece.

I find it a little odd considering the staff haven't been quiet with their feelings about the line: they're expecting a strong bunch. And why not?

There's a question with left tackle and a lot of it comes from the protection we saw from Pritchett. Proctor is sitting in the wings to take that spot (IF he can drop some weight before fall.)

Some suggest we might see a challenge to Dalcourt. He's got A LOT of experience under his belt. Granted, not at left guard ...

McLaughlin, Booker, and Latham? Solid core for the line.

Yeah, this article just seems like filler for them to have content. I expect Pritchett to be good player for us, but he got absolutely schooled by Robinson in the AD game. He'll get better as he progresses, but if he gets consistently beat at the position.... Proctor is probably gonna take that spot over, and we may not see Pritchett again until Latham leaves next year, or gets injured (knock on wood). But Robinson is the more experienced player of the two, and he proved that several times against him, he looked really good. Hope to see him play more this year.

The level of play better improve on both lines!!.. can’t have an offense of line getting pushed back 5 yards during each snap…. Can’t have all the tackles being made on the second and third levels either.

I wouldn’t let the ADay showing from Pritchett weigh too heavily.... it wasn't great, but it was an outlier for him and he wasn't 100%. Proctor is a beast though and will settle into a spot on the left side no later than 2-3 weeks into the year... He just needs to drop a little more weight, but the guy is a bulldozer who will help the running game tremendously. Personally, I'd like to see Pritchett win the LT spot and Proctor grab the guard spot for this season...

I always read Pritchett was very raw coming out of high school, but with very high upside simply due to his lack of time even playing football as a sport. Has he had enough time to develop that talent to be a starting lineman? I would imagine Proctor is a little more polished, but based on words here is carrying a little more bad weight. Who is technically more proficient at the moment?

You've sort of answered your own question: Pritchett (leaving spring camp.)

If Proctor can drop 25-30 lbs this summer we'll see that change: he's the next 1st rounder at LT from Bama

Don’t have an issue with that scenario either. It’s a good problem to have. If Dalcourt cements himself, that would be good news and elevate the competition at the tackle spot. If Procter is the odd man out, he’d be a guy that could step in quick for either if/when needed. Only thing I’m pretty sure of is that this OL is going to be the strength of the offense along with the RB’s… and it’s going to be fun to watch.

I like @TerryP idea of Dalcourtat LG, but he is going to have to fight for it every day to keep Proctor off the field.
I’m going to be upset if we don’t semi resemble those offenses of ‘15&’16. The ability to run whenever we want and have hard play action with receivers wide ass open.

Was he hurt? I didn't know if he was. Proctor is gonna be a beast for us whenever he gets his chance, regardless of where he plays. He looked the part during the A-day game, guy is an absolute monster.

It wasn’t anything major, but IMO it didn’t help his performance that afternoon.
