It's never too early in college football for a preseason Top 25 ranking.

The 2012 season isn't even in the books yet, and already we have a preseason ranking for 2013.

NationalChamps.net has released its early bird preview for 2013, and six teams from the SEC are in the top 10.

Alabama is No. 1 followed by Stanford at No. 2 and LSU at No. 3.

The other SEC teams in the top 10 are Georgia at No. 6, Florida at No. 7, Texas A&M at No. 8 and South Carolina at No. 10.

Ole Miss also cracked the Top 25 at No. 25, while Tennessee was among those teams receiving consideration.

I would also put Vanderbilt in that group.

It's worth noting that five SEC teams were in the top 10 of the Associated Press' preseason poll this season -- Alabama at No. 2, LSU at No. 3, Georgia at No. 6, South Carolina at No. 9 and Arkansas at No. 10.

Florida was No. 23 and Texas A&M was unranked.
