After a big win over Wisconsin, Alabama moved up in the weekly Associated Press poll.
Alabama moved up a spot in the Associated Press' latest top 25 rankings.
Alabama is now the No. 2 ranked team in the country after defeating then-No. 20 Wisconsin in the season opener at AT&T Stadium. The Crimson Tide opened the season at No. 3 in the preseason AP poll, the 24th time the school started off as a top five preseason team.
Earlier in the day, Alabama also moved up to No. 2 in the coaches poll.
Ohio State, after defeating Virginia Tech on Monday night, remained the unanimous No. 1 team in the country. Wisconsin dropped out of the rankings after losing to the Crimson Tide.
A record 10 SEC schools made the AP top 25. Mississippi State is the latest school to make it on, checking in at No. 25.
